Dear Tony,
Just a short hello to say that I have been reading your weekly site and wanted to let you know that I recently enrolled in an acting school in Arizona and found a way to pay for it by letting go of the want's and the not need's. Thank's so much for your insight into a common dilemma that is faced by actor's just starting out and for your most practical and common sense approach to acting.

The Story Behind ActingCareerStartUp.com:
I want you to know why I created this website,
why I wrote this book
and what they can do for you in your acting career start!
The Written Story
It was 7am in Brooklyn. I had been up since 5. I needed the time to get ready and take the subway all the way down from lower Harlem.
I met Karen during her acting career start in Brooklyn on the set of the film Life Support (starring Queen Latifa) in Brooklyn for which we were both cast as extras. She was so cute, twenty-four years old and had driven through the night just to be on the set of this movie. She was so excited, and she talked about wanting to move to New York to seriously pursue modeling and acting. In the same breath, she confided to me, “I’m ashamed to admit it, but if I were to move here, I have absolutely no clue where to start and what to do about anything, getting an agent, working, networking, nothing!” We proceeded to talk at length, and she asked me a multitude of questions and took a lot of notes. I answered them based on my experience and what I had learned and put into practice.
The Decision
I decided that day that this book would be for all the Karen’s out there, who want to explore this wonderful world of acting, but need guidance in their acting career start, just like I did when I started.
It’s not easy at the beginning trying to figure out what to do all alone, trial and error, trying to get good information. When I first decided to pursue acting, I wished I had had someone to talk to who really knew what to do and how to do it. I heard so many different things from so many different people that sometimes, my head was spinning. I sifted through all the cloud of information and slowly began to make some sense of it all and I still am.
You're not here by chance
If you landed on this page, it’s certainly not by chance. Ary you in the acting career start up phase? Are you new to this business of acting and not really sure if you’re doing the right things to start your career? Or maybe you don’t really know where to begin? Do you want more out of your acting career? Do you have a child who is interested in pursuing acting and you would like to help her? If you answer yes to any of those questions, then you’ve come to the right place.
At the same time, if the answers to all but the last question are yes, then you can either continue doing what you have been doing and hope that something will change, or you can change your approach by aggressively and systematically going after what it is you desire—the acting career you really want.
How will you feel a year from now if you are still not working as an actress/actor?
Don't let that happen to you!

What you’re doing is great Anthony. Whenever I read the things on your site, the interviews and even your book, I feel like if only everybody got to read this before they got started, they would be so much better off and everybody else (casting directors, agents, directors, etc.) would be so much better off too.
