To Tony,
I have to say this is the best acting site i have EVER been to. I'm sure you have helped many people begin their dream! I've helped in advertising your site to over 38 of my aspiring actor friends. You are doing an amazing thing by helping these people. I wish you the best in your acting career so that you may be a role model for all those who look up to your sucess.

Anthony,
Happy New year to you. I really enjoy your e-mails and your website. As someone who has just started the journey of becoming an actor I enjoy your site which is full of wonderful insights and answers to questions I have had, and it's funny but it seems as though every time you update your site, it answers a question I have been struggling with at that point.

Thank you for your website, you have helped me a lot as I know you have helped numerous others.

Have a wonderful 2008 and may you break a leg in everything you do this year as an actor.

Sam T Kelly, actor, Los Angeles, CA

Tony,
I did what you said and…I got two interviews with two agents! Thank you! Sorry but can I ask you…how do I prepare to go meet the agent? What do I have to do?
Marsha P., New York, NY, USA

Tony,
I just wanted to let you know that I copied a quote of your's and I'm putting it on my refrigerator when I move to L.A. this next week. Thanks for the continued encouragement to all of us trying to achieve our goals. Keep up the good work.

Best,
Kyle S., actor

Acting Classes In The USA:
How To Organize Your Trip

Studying Acting in NY:
Organizing Your Trip From A-Z

Taking acting classes in the USA for many international actors is a hot topic. Living in Europe, I am often approached by actors asking about this subject. Going back to NY every year from Italy, I’ve noticed that there are many actors from foreign countries for whom taking acting classes in the USA is seen as a must to have a real chance at a career in acting. Last year alone in my Meisner class there was a guy from Isreal, anoher from Germany and girls from Sweden, Holland, Australia and me, who came in from Italy, even though I’m American. There were also two girls from Japan, who were there on a special intensive for a few weeks.

In a couple of my previous classes, there were two Italian guys, a Russian girl and other girls from Sweden, Holland and Switzerland. Also, here in Italy I encounter any number of actors who have at one time or another gone to NY or LA to study and given that I have done it several times, I’m frequently asked a lot of questions about how best to approach the trip to the U.S. That’s why I thought It would be cool to dedicate a page to international students.

8 Things To Think About

When you think of the whole trip, which I have done six times now, there are in my opinion, eight important things to keep in mind and I would say in the following order:

I’ll walk you through all these areas to help you to plan a successful trip to NY.

1. Your objective
2. The right time to go
3. Length of your stay

4. Your budget

5. Choosing the acting school and the acting classes

6. Finding housing

7. Getting around in New York

8. Keeping in touch back home while you’re away

See if some of these books can assist you as well in gathering information about acting classes in the USA.
