Hi Tony!
Most people don’t even take the time to tell a person how to reach their goal. I want to thank you for everything and for responding to my messages. Sometimes I just test people to see if they really care about my career and you do. You can continue to send me some tips on how I can accomplish my goals, because you inspire me a lot. Serious and Comical Monologues
For men, women, teens, kids, Christians, musical theatre
and how to choose, prepare and perform them

Finding good serious or comical monologues can be a challenge. I have scowered the internet to find the best sites for monologues in different categories. Here below you will find that list. My advice, however, is not just to run off and think of picking your monologue. The whole process starts by first knowing what you type is and knowing how to market yourself. All your marketing materials should line up. Your monologue is just one of those materials.

Here is what I mean. Your headshot, resume, cover letter, reel and your actor website should all be giving the same message of who you are as an actor. This is one of the biggest mistakes that actors make and that costs them so much money, time and effort in the end. Your monologue should fit right into the marketing mix. In other words, what you are trying to do is to make people think about you as one type of of actor, the same actor who is pictured on your headshot. Your comical monologues or whatever kind of monologues you choose fits right in line with that headshot. It's the same person doing the monologue. Do you see?

Once you are clear on that, you want to make sure that you then choose a monologue that is in line with the kind of actor you want to market. We have some advice here on this website about how to properly choose a monologue and where to look for help if you need it. Tony handlse that in detail in the Acting Career Quick Start Home-Study Course. Then, when you finally have chosen the right monologue for you and that emphasizes your strong points as an actor and not your weak points, then you want to make sure you prepare it properly. There is an art to that as well. You'll need to research the character and also make sure that you avoid some of the common mistakes that new actors make when performing their monologues. There is also an art to memorizing your lines.

So now that you know all that, you can start to now look for your serious, dramatic or comical monologues here below for men, women, teens, specifically for girls, kids, Christians and musical theatre.
