Hi Tony!
Most people don’t even take the time to tell a person how to reach their goal. I want to thank you for everything and for responding to my messages. Sometimes I just test people to see if they really care about my career and you do. You can continue to send me some tips on how I can accomplish my goals, because you inspire me a lot. Thank you for caring.

Interview with Evelyn Vaccaro:
Actress & Television Host

Interview with Actress & Television Host Evelyn Vaccaro Part 1/9

Evelyn VaccaroTony: So Evelyn, when was it that you first started getting interested in acting and hosting?

Evelyn: It was during my stay in Miami when I became interested in acting and dancing. I managed to land my first real gig as a dancer for a singer named Chayanne who was very big in the Latin market. From there I started doing music videos for a production company who came in from Europe looking for strong hip-hop dancers. Getting my foot in the door with them, led to me doing work for artist whose videos were huge overseas. It’s funny. I never actually got to see those music videos but, I know that they were very well done.

From there, I discovered the islands of the Bahamas where I decided to live like an island girl for about two years (smile).  Although I stepped away from the business for a bit, today I know those experiences will always work in my favor as a host.

After those two years I decided to go back to college and while I was there I discovered Vermont, which offered a lot of outdoor adventure. While in VT over the weekends, I landed a fun job working for ESPN’s X-Games where I met Sal Mesekala who I hold responsible for my career in hosting today.

Tony: That’s an interesting story. You went from dancing in Miami to living in the Caribbean to skiing and hosting in Vermont. That’s versatility!

Evelyn: Yes, and it all helps in my line of work as a host.

Tony: Something I found very interesting is that twice so far as you were talking, you said that you managed to get your foot in the door… I’m curious as I’m sure are my readers of this interview to know how did you actually do that?

Evelyn: Somehow directors and producers always took a liking to me, which got my left foot in the door.  But as in any business, you have to “bring the goods” which got my right foot in too.

In part 2 of this exclusive interview with Evelyn Vaccaro, she talks about how she got started in television hosting. In the remaining 9 parts to this interview, she talks about everything from hosting auditions and what to expect, tips for the television host, hosting reels and how to make them and more.
