If you are looking for free duet acting scripts to practice scenes on your own, you have come to the right place. Aside from going to book stores like Samuel French or The Drama Book Shop in the U.S., in today's day and age, you can find lots of scripts on the Internet. What's important to know, however, before you start looking for a script to perform, is having a clear idea of why you want to perform that particular scene. Is the character you want to portray one that is in line with your character type or one that you just like and want to perform? Does the scene speak to your strengths as an actor or are you trying to work on your weaknesses. There are certainly other questions you will want to ask yourself when choosing your scenes. Something else to consider is whether or not your scene partner is up to the task of being good enough to give you what you need to create a worthwhile session.
Two additions suggestions for you to better your performance is to take a scene study class or to at the very least, have a look at this page here on ActingCareerStartUp.com for some cold-reading tips. Or you could take a cold-reading class.
