To Tony,
I have to say this is the best acting site i have EVER been to. I'm sure you have helped many people begin their dream! I've helped in advertising your site to over 38 of my aspiring actor friends. You are doing an amazing thing by helping these people. I wish you the best in your acting career so that you may be a role model for all those who look up to your sucess.

-Rachael W., actress, Canada

Anthony,
Happy New year to you. I really enjoy your e-mails and your website. As someone who has just started the journey of becoming an actor I enjoy your site which is full of wonderful insights and answers to questions I have had, and it's funny but it seems as though every time you update your site, it answers a question I have been struggling with at that point.

Thank you for your website, you have helped me a lot as I know you have helped numerous others.

Have a wonderful 2008 and may you break a leg in everything you do this year as an actor.

Sam T Kelly, actor, Los Angeles, CA

Tony,
I did what you said and…I got two interviews with two agents! Thank you! Sorry but can I ask you…how do I prepare to go meet the agent? What do I have to do?
Marsha P., New York, NY, USA

-----------------

Tony,
I just wanted to let you know that I copied a quote of your's and I'm putting it on my refrigerator when I move to L.A. this next week. Thanks for the continued encouragement to all of us trying to achieve our goals. Keep up the good work.

Best,
Kyle S., actor

Want A Job In Acting?
Why Don’t You Create Your Own?

While it is important to find a talent agent as a way to get a job in acting, today’s technology offers us many other possibilities so that it really is possible for one to create his/her own success! This page is dedicated to those videos with comments, acting tips or useful information for young, aspiring actors. What I want to show you with this page is that starting an acting career is much more than just getting headshots and résumés together and contacting agents. At the same time, by showing you these videos, I want to stimulate you to think about what is special about you that you could begin to present to the world, like some of the people you will see here below. Think about it. Being well-known and associated with something positive by thousands of people, just might be of some help in getting your career to take off. The more visible you are, the more likely it will be for someone to notice you.

You can do so many other things to bring your uniqueness to the public eye. Below you will find a the beginnings of some of my favorite videos by actors. They are not my favorites necessarily due to the content or the quality, but rather for what they represent. I applaud these actors and artists for trying to make things happen for themselves.

People Who Want A Job In Acting Making Things Happen For Themselves!

We Need Girlfriends: This online sitcom is a great example of what actors can do to try to create their own job in acting instead of sitting around waiting for something to happen! One of the guys in this program graduated from my acting school!

Rules Of The Game: Here is still another example of what you can do to make yourself a job in acting when you allow yourself to be creative. It’s simple but unique.

Joseph Fiero: You have to applaud this guy’s spirit. Look at what he has done. He’s taking initiative and making things happen. Go do a search for him on YouTube or MySpace and see all the videos he has made. He's also built a web page on which he describes his marketing strategy. Whether you agree with it or not, you have to be stimulated to think about what your own possibilities could be! This video here to the right has been seen to date more than thirty thousand times. He has another that is similar that has been seen over sixty thousand times! What kind of video series could you make and how many people do you think would be interested? Have a look at Joseph’s video.

Quarter Life: If you look on MySpace.com you will see mixed reviews around this internet TV series, which is, by the way a little bit bigger production than the others you see on this page. Some people like it. Others do not. Once again I always applaude people who are making things happen for themselves. And I ask you again: What can you do to make a splash like these people are? This series is viewed by tens of thousands of people!

2 Actresses Have Some Tips And Advice

Amber Gristak: Amber is a young actress, who is taking her career very seriously. On another page of this website, I talked about what one can do to create a web presence so as to be able to position yourself to get a job in acting. While we have not personally viewed all of Amber’s work, she is a working actress and aside from that, currently has 62 videos (as of January 3, 2008) on youtube.com.

Interview With An Actress: This is really a promotional video for an acting studio. What I like about it is the way this young actress talks about the craft of acting. Her name is April Matson of Kyle XY, which is on ABC TV in the U.S.

An Actor’s Preparation

Uta Hagen’s Acting Class: Uta Hagen was one of the greatest acting teachers of all time. She helped to shape the landscape of acting techniques that we study today and has helped many people get jobs in acting. This video lets us get a peek into one of her classes so that we can see the master at work. We also get a chance to hear what some famous actors have to say who had studied with her.

Physical Preparation For Acting Work On A Film: I found this video that shows how the actors were trained physically for the film “300”. The reason I wanted to have you watch this video is so you can see just how hard the work can be at times to prepare for a film. Do you think you could hang with these guys? Check it out.
