Finding good monologues can be difficult, especially if you don't know where to look. And so, we here at ActingCareerStartUp.com have done some research to help you and weed out all the stuff you don't need. If you are in a hurry, go down to the middle of this page and have a look at the links. Before you do that though, here is some advice that has to do with monologues in general and consist in some tips that might help you perform your monogues even better once you find the one you are looing for. Tips to better choose, prepare and perform monologues for girls 1. The monologue you choose should emphasize your strengths and hide your weaknesses if you are choosing it to make an impression for an agent or theatre company for example. Here are some tips on how to choose your monologue. 2. Be sure and choose a monologue that is in line with your type. You need to know that in order to express yourself as an actress to the best of your ability. Get someone with an objective view about you and your ability to help you choose the right monologue for you. 3. Before you try to perform a monologue, be sure that you know what you are doing. There is a difference between memorizing lines and really embodying a character. Get help from a monologue coach if you need one. 5. If you are looking for a monologue for auditions, make sure you know the etiquette about auditioning and how to behave and what to expect.
