Hi Tony!
Most people don’t even take the time to tell a person how to reach their goal. I want to thank you for everything and for responding to my messages. Sometimes I just test people to see if they really care about my career and you do. You can continue to send me some tips on how I can accomplish my goals, because you inspire me a lot. Thank you for caring.

Acting Career Quick Start

Advice for Movie Auditions

...and where to find them

How to "act" during movie auditions

For someone who is just starting an acting career, it can be difficult at times to remember everything you have to do in every situation that comes up. On this particular page here on ActingCareerStartUp.com you will find a great piece of an interview I did with Hollywood Casting Director April Webster. She cast some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters like 2012, Mission Impossible III, The Day After Tomorrow and some big television hits as well such as Lost and CSI Crime Scene Investigation just to name a few.

In this video clip here below, April talks about what she expects from actors who come in to audition for her and in general, what she feels is good audition protocol or rather how actors should behave during movie auditions. If you have never auditioned before or if you have and didn't feel that it went well for you, you might want to listen to what April has to say. It could make all the difference in the world for you and your next audition.

Acting Career Quick Start

What you heard in that video clip is just a small portion of what you need to know about starting a successful acting career. Many actors make the mistake and think that all they have to do is to "want to be an actor" and then "get an agent" and then all will be well. They often believe that just simply getting an agent even if they don't have any acting training under their belt, or just because people tell them "they are a natural" that that is all they need to get started. Wrong. That is a sure recipe for failure.

If you really want to get your career started in the right way, go through the entire process and learn the business. Trust me. It will make all the difference in the world.

Now, IF you are ready and now that you know what proper protocol is for acting auditions, now here are some links where you can find them.
