Hi Tony!
Most people don’t even take the time to tell a person how to reach their goal. I want to thank you for everything and for responding to my messages. Sometimes I just test people to see if they really care about my career and you do. You can continue to send me some tips on how I can accomplish my goals, because you inspire me a lot. Thank you for caring.

4 ways to get acting work

Coach Mike and Anthony Smith talk about
some of the different ways that actors can get work.

Bet you never heard of one of those ways!

Different ways to get acting work

I talk to a lot of actors who have a laser focus with regard to starting their acting career. They know that the only thing they want is to be on a Disney show or on CSI or on their favorite sitcom. Sometimes they say they want to be on Broadway or be a Hollywood film star. It’s great to have dreams and I will be the first to tell you that focus in pursuing your dreams is important, but sometimes there can be too much focus. Let me explain.

It’s no secret that most actors starting out need money to help them start their acting careers. Now if you are making a lot of money at one thing, then that’s great, especially if that one thing you are doing gives you flexibility to spend a lot of time on your acting career and on some of the different ways of getting acting work. But, in today’s day and age it’s important to open yourself up to the concept of multiple streams of income.

In this short video here below I talk with “Coach” Mike Pointer, LA actor and founder of his own company called ‘Hey I Saw Your Commercial’. Mike talks about the concept of multiple streams of income for actors and four of the many different ways are to get work as an actor and thus make money.

I’m willing to bet that you never heard of one of those ways of getting acting work. Wanna bet? Watch the video and see for yourself!

Mike Pointer or “Coach Mike” as he is known to his students is an actor with many years of experience and who has a school for actors in which he teaches them how to start their acting careers in television commercials. Thus the name of his school ‘Hey I saw your commercial’. Visit Mike’s website for more information.

Hopefully this video tweaked your interest in broadening your focus on your acting career and using all your skills to help you gain experience, meet more people who can help you and also make money! Check out some other different ways to get acting work.

Have a look at some of these books to help you learn more about the concept of multiple streams of income and to use different ways to get acting work to make money to fund your acting career.
